The Road Home

Women's Transitional Housing

The Road Home project under the Coordination of the Corio Norlane Lions Club are looking to set up transitional housing for women over 50 (this is a growing group of people who are experiencing homelessness).

We need a Property to start this off and willing volunteers, if you have any ideas or willing to help please contatc us for more information.

Although a person may be homeless they still have value to offer so please show them you care.

“As a community, we need to be responsive to people who are homeless, not just for moral and social reasons, but also for the sake of the stability of the entire community." Major David Eldridge (The Salvation Army)

Most of us have warm clothing, blankets and a fire or heater to keep us warm at night.

We have Shampoo, Toothpaste, soap, deodorant to use when we need to.

Please spare a thought for those that are struggling, they have no warm clothes or blankets, some don't have bedding, they go without washing their hear or bushing teeth or washing themselves regularly NOT because they don't want to, but because they are unable to.

Please Donate any blankets, jackets, hats, scarves or hygiene items you can to our Bedding and Hygiene Appeal.

You will be surprised, excited, appalled, shocked and itching to do something to support these incredibly resourceful people.
